Crime Wrap: Armed Robbery of Cyclist, Refrigerant Stolen

West Springfield

BURGLARY, 5800 block of Chase Commons Court, 6/16/13, 10:10 a.m. An employee reported someone entered a storage area and stole refrigerant. Forced entry was made through a door.

BURGLARY, 4900 block of Old Well Road, 6/16/13, 11:10 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

Mount Vernon

Police Arrest Two in Armed Robbery of Bicyclist


ROBBERY, Ladson Lane/Richmond Highway, 6/13/13, 10:30 p.m. A 34-year-old man reported he parked his car when an unknown man opened the door and demanded money. The victim did not have any money. The suspect punched the victim and fled. The victim was not injured.

BURGLARY, 3200 block of Clayborne Avenue, 6/14/13, 11:30 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. Forced entry was made through a window.

ASSAULT/LARCENY, 2500 block of Huntington Avenue, 6/15/13, 1:20 a.m. A 36-year-old man reported he was confronted by three individuals. He was allegedly assaulted by two of them and all attempted to take his jacket. The victim was not injured. Following a search of the area by a K-9 team, the helicopter and officers, the three suspects were detained. Devante Young, 20, and Devonte Miles, 19, both of Washington, DC, were each charged with assault and grand larceny. Linda Jamison, 20, of Washington, DC, was charged with grand larceny.
