Public Meetings to Present Proposed South County and BRAC-related Fairfax Connector Service Changes

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will hold three public meetings to discuss proposed modifications to south county Fairfax Connector bus service. Changes to bus service are being proposed in order to accommodate the increase in personnel at Fort Belvoir due to Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and would be effective in September 2011.

 Proposed modifications include:

 Changes to existing routes 159, 171, 305, 307, 310, 331, 332 and 380D

• Creation of new routes 333, 334, 371 and 395
• Change to the long-term detour of Route 304
