A 29-year-old Newington-area woman is dead after a car crash on Saturday afternoon. At around 2:30 p.m., Casey Noriega, of Haynes Point Way, lost control of her 2001 Toyota Camry while driving south on Beulah Street near Windsor Avenue and crashed into a pole.
She was transported to the nearest hospital but was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Neither speed nor alcohol appears to be contributing factors of the crash," according to Fairfax County Police. "The investigation continues."
