Police Probing Homicide at Riverfront Home
An elderly man was found unconscious, and later died at a local hospital, say Fairfax County police.

LORTON, VA — Fairfax County police are investigating after an elderly man was found shot several times early Friday at his home on the Potomac River.
The police identified the victim as 83-year-old Johan De Leede. The source of the gunshots hasn't been determined and detectives have not located a suspect.
Officers responded at 1 a.m. Friday to the home in the 6000 block of River Drive

A family member had found De Leede and believed that he had fallen. Officers found the victim shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time later.
"Detectives have gone door-to-door trying to make contact with neighbors to see if they saw or heard anything," Officer Roger Henriquez told WJLA.
