Reward Offered For 2016 Murder In Lorton: Police
The family of a man murdered inside his Lorton home in 2016 is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest: FCPD.

LORTON, VA—The family of a man murdered inside his Lorton home in 2016 is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest, according to Fairfax County Police. Johan de Leede was found shot several times at his home on the Potomac River.
Per Fairfax Police, regarding a press gathering: "Detective John Vickery and the victim’s daughter-in-law, Susie Paul-de Leede, spoke about the murder of Johan de Leede. . .Susie Paul-de Leede spoke of the personal toll the murder of her father-in-law has had on her and her family.
"She described Johan de Leede and his wife as the heart of the family. Susie said, 'He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful and loving people you could imagine, and he took a genuine interest in what was happening in the lives of those around him.' "

Officers responded at 1 a.m. to the home in the 6000 block of River Drive. A family member had found De Leede and believed that he had fallen. Officers found the victim shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time later.
