Sheriff's Office Provides Free Software To Monitor Home Internet Activity

ComputerCOP Means Internet Policing at Home

Want to know what your kids are looking at online? Free Internet monitoring software is now available to Fairfax County residents from the Fairfax County Sheriff's Department.

“The Internet is a valuable resource for connecting us with information and people around the world,” said Sheriff Stan Barry. “But online predators and cyber bullies pose a real threat to our children.  Running the ComputerCOP software is a proactive step toward protecting your children from being victimized.”

ComputerCOP software scans the computer for images and text associated with pornography, drugs, weapons and violence.
