With new seasons come new opportunities mixed with old ones. As we think about the world around us and the creation we enjoy, what lessons do we find there that help us to engage with these new ideas and old practices?
While taking a walk on a secluded city path, I came to a little bridge over an even smaller creek. Pausing to look at the creek, I noticed it was very calming and beautiful, but some of the water was gathered into a pool and some was moving with a current. As the flowing water met the edge of the pool, there were small ripples, but it did not really phase the gathered water, at least at the first glance. Upon closer inspection, one can see the current slowly moving through the pool below the surface.
As we begin doing new things or even continuing with a project, remember that each little action is part of a larger picture. We do not have to be a strong current to effect change. We may not always see the results of the opportunities we take, but they are there nonetheless. With each project, each meeting, each person our lives interact, we make an impression upon one another. What impression will you leave?

If our actions and words flow with the kindness and peace of God, as we encounter each pool of people in our lives the current will run with the love of God. It may not be seen, but it will be felt and the pool will forever be changed.
