Here’s what’s happening in Lorton schools this week.

Laurel Hill Elementary School

• Partners in Print Family Literacy Night will be held for grades two and three on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• SCA Blue and Gold Day is Friday, Feb. 25.

Silverbrook Elementary School

• Read-a-Thon will be held Feb. 22 through Feb. 25.

Lorton Station Elementary School

• Tae Kwon Do for grades 3-6 will be held Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 3:50 p.m. to 4:40 p.m.
• Cook with Books will be held Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
•  Creative Kids for grades K-2 will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Bigger Little Fingers Electric Guitar will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Bigger Little Fingers Guitar will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Spring sport tryouts begin Monday, Feb. 21.
• Rising 10^th grade orientation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
• Drug Paraphernalia Show: What Every Parent Needs to Know About Teenage Substance Abuse, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 22, for parents only, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• 2^nd Quarter Honor Roll Ceremony will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m.
• High school pre-festival band concert will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• Girls varsity and junior varsity softball begin Tuesday, Feb. 22.
• Coed Varsity Indoor Track, VA State AAA Championship, to be held Friday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 26.
