10th District Election Results: How Manassas Precincts Voted

MANASSAS, VA — Incumbent Democrat Jennifer Wexton secured re-election in Virginia's 10th congressional district on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Across the district, Wexton secured 152,557 votes, according to unofficial results. Her opponent, Republican Hung Cao, acquired 135,575 votes. So far, 202 of the district's 209 precincts have reported results.

Unofficial results from the Virginia Department of Elections are now available that show how voters at each precinct in Manassas voted.

Across the City of Manassas, 5,892 voters chose Wexton on their ballots, with eight of the city's nine precincts reporting. Cao acquired 4,559 votes, unofficial results showed. Wexton secured more votes at six of the eight precincts that have reported results.

"Thank you for this tremendous honor and the opportunity of a lifetime to continue to represent you in Congress," Wexton told supporters during her victory speech on Tuesday night. "My love for public service has only grown."

During her speech, Wexton outlined her continued goals in public service. "My kids and your kids are the reason I ran for Congress in 2018," Wexton said. "I want to build a future where they can afford healthcare, where they're safe from gun violence, have a sustainable planet, and get a world-class public education."
