130 MPH Chase On I-66 Speeds Through Prince William County: Police
Virginia State Police officials said a Winchester man led officers on a 130 mph on I-66 through Fauquier and Prince William County.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A high-speed chase ran through I-66 in Fauquier and Prince William on Monday morning, Virginia State Police said.
No injuries were reported in the chase, which reached speeds of 130 mph, authorities said.
Police identified the fleeing driver as 19-year-old William Hockman of Winchester. Hockman is charged with one felony count of eluding law enforcement, a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest, and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.

Hockman is being held without bond at the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center.
Around 2 a.m. on Monday, a Virginia state trooper tried to stop a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover that was speeding on eastbound I-66 near mile marker 23, authorities said. The trooper said the SUV was travelling at 108 mph.

The Land Rover's driver refused to stop when the trooper activated his sirens, according to the police report.
The trooper chased the Land Rover as it entered Prince William County at speeds of 130 mph, Virginia State Police said. The chase continued into Fauquier County and then into Warren County. Police officials said the Land Rover hit a Fauquier County deputy's car in Warren County, but the deputy was not injured.
Eventually, the Land Rover hit a spike strip that had been placed by a local police department. The chase ended along the 130 block of 14th Street n Front Royal.
The driver, who police then identified as Hockman, was taken into custody.
