14-Year-Old Girl is Newest Manassas Author
High School freshman Sofia Abbasi has published the first novel in a trilogy she's been writing since she was nine.

Manassas’s newest author proves that good things come in small packages. At just 14-years-old, Stonewall Jackson High School freshman Sofia Abbasi has published her first novel, “Life of a Teenage Demigod.”
The book is the first in a trilogy about a young girl named Sofia who learns she is actually a demigod, a human whose parents are Gods. The story chronicles adventures Sofia has with her friends Leo and Adele and the struggles they face as Sofia searches for answers about her past.
Abbasi’s novel can be purchased at Amazon in either the Kindle version, for $3.99, or in paperback, for $13.46.

Abbasi suffers from severe allergies, according to her mom Sue Abbasi on Facebook, and would often miss days or weeks of school. This prompted Sofia to begin writing. She started writing “Life of a Teenage Demigod” when she was 9-years-old.
“Every place that we went, Sofia never let go of her story. She worked on it for years. Like the main character in the book, Sofia never gave up,” Sue Abbasi said in a Facebook post.
