2 Handguns Recovered At Colgan High School Football Game: Police
Police officers found a pair of handguns near a storm drain outside of Colgan High School's football stadium on Friday night.
MANASSAS, VA — Police officers found a pair of handguns near a storm drain outside of a Colgan High School football game on Friday, the Prince William County Police Department said.
Authorities said there were no injuries, and the guns were not fired or pointed at anyone on Friday.
No charges have been filed in connection with the incident. Police officers said they originally detained two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man who were all current or former Prince William County students.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, police officers on a security detail learned of a possible person with a gun at the Colgan High School football game. School security personnel said they were speaking with a group of four people before police arrived. One person appeared to hand a firearm to another person within the group, authorities said.
The group dispersed and left before police officers arrived. Police officers found three out of the four people outside the stadium and momentarily detained them, according to the police report.

"While checking the area,officers were informed one of the individuals had dropped something near a storm drain outside of the stadium where officers located two firearms, one of which had been previously reported stolen," the police department said in a report.
