2 Drivers Injured, Flown To Hospital After Crash On I-66 Near Gainesville: Police
Two drivers were seriously injured on Monday morning in a crash on I-66 westbound near Gainesville in Prince William County, police said.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Two drivers suffered serious injuries in a crash on I-66 near Gainesville on Monday morning, according to Virginia State Police. Authorities did not say what condition the drivers were in, but they were flown to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Virginia State Police troopers responded to the crash around 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4. Authorities said the crash involved two vehicles.
"The two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of I-66 at Exit 43/Gainesville," Virginia State Police said in a news release. "The driver from each vehicle was flown to Fairfax Inova Hospital for treatment of serious injuries."
