MANASSAS, VA — Two new restaurants are coming to downtown Manassas. The restaurants will be run by Great Eats Hospitality in the building formerly occupied by Okra's.

Part of the facility will be reserved for Zengo's, which will serve Asian street food. The rest of the building will be used for the Gadfly Gastro Pub, which will serve a rotating menu. Both restaurants are expected to open in summer 2023.

Both restaurants will be run by Miguel Pires and Great Eats Hospitality. Great Eats already operates Zandra's Taqueria next door to the former Okra's facility.

Pires and his team will renovate the former Okra's facility, at the corner of Center Street and Battle Street. The building will get a new kitchen, new outdoor seating, and new entrances.

Manassas City officials reported that Great Eats is investing $500,000 into the building through the renovations.

Zengo's will have an "approachable but upscale, trendy vibe," according to the Manassas Department of Economic Development.

The Gadfly Gastro Pub will also encompass the former coin store on Battle Street, a city news release said. It will include outdoor seating and pub-style cuisine.
