2 Shootings Reported In Manassas Over Thanksgiving Weekend: Cops
The Prince William County Police Department reported two separate shootings that left two people injured over the Thanksgiving weekend.

MANASSAS, VA — Two separate shooting were reported in the Manassas area over the Thanksgiving weekend. A 17-year-old boy was shot on Thanksgiving and a 49-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot on Saturday, police said.
The first shooting was reported to authorities around 1 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 25. The shooting occurred at the TGM Sudley Crossing Apartments located in the 10800 block of Gambril Drive, according to the police report.
"As officers were canvassing the area, they located the door to an apartment ajar and made entry inside" the Prince William County Police Department wrote in their report. "Once inside the apartment, officers observed damage to the walls consistent with being struck by projectiles, suspected marijuana, and a firearm."

While they were investigating the incident, officers also learned that a 17-year-old boy was taken to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Authorities believed that the victim was in the apartment when the shooting took place. However, the police department claimed that the victim was "not cooperative with detectives during the investigation."

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Detectives are still working to determine what events may have led to the shooting.
Another shooting was reported around 6 p.m. on Saturday in the 13500 block of Bradford Lane in Manassas, authorities said. There, police said a 49-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were involved in an argument.
"During the altercation, the accused went into a bedroom where she retrieved a firearm and shot the victim," police said. "The accused immediately contacted emergency services."
The victim, the 49-year-old man, was flown to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The accused, who was later identified as Lisa Gaye Myers, was taken into custody. She was charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
