21-Year-Old PWC Man Killed In Crash After Losing Control Of Car: Police

A 21-year-old from Manassas Park was killed when he veered off a road in Bristow, police say.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – A car crash Thursday afternoon killed a 21-year-old Manassas Park man, Prince William County police say.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers responded to Hansen Farm Road and Wellingford Road in Bristow at about 2:44 p.m. on Thursday following reports of a crash.

Investigators say 21-year-old Sayed Mohammad Hamed Shams of Manassas Park was driving a 2022 Toyota Corolla north on Hansen Farm Road when he tried to pass a vehicle that was turning right onto Wellingford Road. They say Shams crossed the road’s center line, lost control of his car, and crashed into a parked, unoccupied tractor-trailer.

Police believe speed was a factor in the accident.
