3 Teens Arrested, Charged With Robbing Manassas Vape Shop: Police

3 teenagers from Woodbridge and Manassas were arrested this week and accused of robbing a vape shop while armed with a BB gun on Saturday.

MANASSAS, VA — Three teenaged boys from Manassas and Woodbridge were arrested on Saturday night. The teens were accused of using a BB gun to rob a vape shop in Manassas, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Officers responded to the Smoke & Vape Shop at 13625 Dumfries Road around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday to investigate the reported robbery. There, an employee told officers that three people had entered the store and one of them approached the counter.

"During the encounter, one of the suspects brandished a firearm and held the employee against a wall while the other suspects took merchandise from the shelves," the police department wrote in their report. "All three suspects initially fled on foot before being located by responding officers and detained."

Officers claimed that the three suspects possessed the merchandise that was reported missing from the store. The officers also said they recovered the firearm that was used during the robbery and identified it as a BB gun, according to the report.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.

After their investigation, officers arrested the three teens and charged each of them with one count of robbery. They are all being held at the county's juvenile detention center, and their court date is pending.

The teens were not publicly identified due to a Virginia law that protects the identities of minor. However, police did say the suspects were a 13-year-old boy from Manassas, a 16-year-old boy from Manassas, and a 17-year-old boy from Woodbridge.
