32-Year-Old Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash In Nokesville: Police

A man died Thursday morning after losing control and crashing his motorcycle into a guardrail on Nokesville Road, police said.

NOKESVILLE, VA โ€” A motorcyclist lost control and crashed into a guardrail Thursday in the area of Nokesville Road and Fauquier Drive in Nokesville, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The operator of the motorcycle, Daniel Cody Starr, 32, of Catlett was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

At around 8 a.m., investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area to investigate the crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of a blue 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 650 motorcycle was traveling northbound on Nokesville Road, just past Fauquier Drive, when he lost control before crashing into a guardrail. The police said they do not know at this time why Starr lost control of the motorcycle.

Two off-duty officers and other motorists performed CPR on Starr until rescue personnel arrived at the location. Starr was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police said they are seeking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the operatorโ€™s driving behavior prior to the crash.
