Series Of Fires Set At Manassas Homes Injured One, Arsonist Sought: Police

Authorities are looking for the person responsible for setting six fires at homes in the City of Manassas on Thursday night.

MANASSAS, VA — A series of fires were intentionally set in the City of Manassas on Thursday evening, according to the Manassas City Police Department. One person was injured by the fires.

Now, authorities are looking to speak with anyone who may have more information about the fires or the person responsible.

In total, six fires were reported. "These fires were intentionally set in occupied, multifamily dwellings in the areas of 7th Regiment Drive and Barrington Park," authorities said in a news release.

One person was injured as they tried to extinguish a fire on their balcony, authorities said. They were taken to a hospital for further treatment. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

No residents were displaced by the fires, police said.
