7-Hour Barricade Situation Resolved In Manassas: Police
A 43-year-old man barricaded himself inside a stolen semi-truck for seven hours in Manassas on Wednesday, authorities said.
MANASSAS, VA — A man locked himself inside a stolen semi-truck for seven hours in Manassas on Wednesday, the Manassas City Police Department said. He eventually turned himself in to police.
No injuries were reported, authorities said.
Investigators identified the man as 43-year-old Damien Lee. Lee was charged with grand theft auto and fugitive from justice.

Lee is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, the police department said.
Around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, police officers received a report about a man in a semi-truck that had been parked for several weeks. The truck was parked on Phair Way near the intersection with Gateway Boulevard.

Officers said they tried to talk with the man in the truck, but he would only communicate through a vent. Investigators learned that Lee was the man in the truck, which was stolen from Ohio.
"Lee refused to comply with the officer's commands to exit the truck," the police department said in a report. "The Crisis Negotiation Team and Emergency Services Unit was activated and took over contact with Lee. CNT attempted to negotiate with Lee for several hours but were unsuccessful."
At 5 p.m., Lee was taken into custody without further incident, authorities said.
