9 Businesses Patch Readers Want In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — Is there a certain kind of business missing in Manassas? A type of restaurant you can't find in town? An activity you have to travel miles away for? Or is there another specialty store you could use?

Manassas Patch recently asked our Facebook followers which businesses they want to see open in town. Lots of you had food in mind, with suggestions for both chain restaurants and regional eateries. Grocery stores were also mentioned repeatedly, plus a few other topics.

So what were the two most-requested businesses? A fast-food joint and a specialty foods store. Those would be Sonic Drive-In and the eclectic Trader Joe's. For the record, the burger place attracted the most votes for those who yearn.

As Maria Wolpert pointed out: "Sonic, we have to drive out to Winchester as it stands now." Added Vic Moretti: "SONIC !!! 3 in Wnchester, 3 in Fredericksburg, need one in between !!!"
