• Therapy dogs brighten days at Haymarket hospital (insidenova.com) — A Manassas-based group, Manassas Therapy Dogs, helped train Kenobi, a gentle giant Leonberger who now brightens days at UVA Health Haymarket Medical Center. His visits give stroke patients extra motivation in therapy and help staff decompress during stressful shifts. The hospital’s pet therapy program now includes several dogs whose calm presence measurably lowers heart rates and lifts spirits across the halls.    

• Legal battle over massive data center campus continues after last-minute appeal (wjla.com) — A massive data center proposal near Manassas National Battlefield Park remains in limbo after one developer, QTS, filed a last-minute appeal to keep the Prince William Digital Gateway project alive. Courts have twice voided the rezoning over public-notice issues, and county leaders plus another developer dropped their appeals. Now residents near Manassas are watching to see if Virginia’s Supreme Court will hear QTS’s case.
