Manassas Teen Arrested, Charged In Shooting Death Of 18-Year-Old Bristow Man

A teenage boy has been arrested and charged over the death of a Bristow man in June, police say.

MANASSAS, VA – A 16-year-old boy from Manassas has been arrested and charged with the murder of an 18-year-old Bristow man in June, Prince William County police announced. The boy is the second person arrested in connection with the death.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, the 16-year-old was arrested on Monday and is being held at the county's Juvenile Detention Center. He is charged with second-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony in the death of Michael Sakyi, 18, of Bristow on June 25.

Sakyi was found on the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas on the night of June 25 when officers responded to reports of a car accident. Officers found Sakyi in the driver's seat of a vehicle that had crashed into a parked, unoccupied car. He had a gunshot wound to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jamal Dana Allen, 21, was arrested in connection with Sakyi's death on July 2 and charged with second-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to police.
