Victim In Fatal Thursday Night Shooting In Manassas Identified
An 18-year-old man from Prince William County was identified as the victim in the shooting.
MANASSAS, VA – An 18-year-old from Bristow has been identified as the victim of Thursday night’s shooting in Manassas.
According to the Prince William County police, officers responded to reports of a crash on the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas shortly before 8:50 p.m. Thursday. They found that a vehicle had crashed into a parked, unoccupied car. In the driver's seat of the crashed vehicle was a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The man, identified as Michael Sakyi Jr., 18, of Bristow, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince William County police have not identified suspects in the case yet. Their preliminary assessment is that the incident was not random.
