MANASSAS, VA – Manassas police announced three arrests and the seizure of hundreds of thousands of dollars in a major operation against alleged prostitution in the city.
According to the Manassas Police Department, six massage businesses were shut down and three people were charged with prostitution-related offenses as a result of what the department called Operation False Front, executed on Tuesday.
The department also says several human trafficking victims were found during the operation, which originated with a Crime Solvers tip.
According to MPD, Yanzhi Mei, 44, of Prince William County, is charged with two counts of keeping a bawdy place, two counts of aiding prostitution, one count of prostitution and one count of sexual battery. She is being held on a $2,000 secured bond.
Additionally, Yanwu Glick, 65, of Fairfax County, is facing three counts of keeping a bawdy place and three counts of aiding prostitution and is being held without bond.
Finally, Stephen Smarr, 60, of Manassas City, is facing three counts of keeping a bawdy place and three counts of aiding prostitution and is being held on a $3,000 secured bond.
