Argument Leads to Hit and Run in Gainesville: Police

The victim said the suspect got into a vehicle and struck him while standing in a parking lot, according to Prince William County Police.

GAINESVILLE, VA — A man is wanted after driving his vehicle into another man following an argument early Thursday in the 14600 block of Lee Highway, accorrding to Prince William County Police.

Gerald Rodney Shepard, 38, of the 6800 block of Mill Valley Drive in Warrenton, is wanted for felony hit and run.

He's described as black, 6-0, 190 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., police responded to a parking lot in the aforementioned block where the 26-year-old victim said he and an unknown person had an intense argument, after which Shepard got into his vehicle, hit the victim and then fled.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
