Armed Bank Robber Still Sought In Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA — Police are still looking for the armed man who robbed a Wells Fargo in Manassas on Tuesday morning. Authorities have not identified any suspects.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, and the robber did not fire any gunshots.

Police described the suspect as a Black man in his 20s who is between 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He weighs between 180 and 220 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black mask, a black fitted cap, a black hooded sweatshirt with a yellow reflective t-shirt underneath, and blue jeans.

Officers with the Prince William County Police Department responded to the Wells Fargo at 8118 Sudley Road around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Someone had activated the bank's panic alarm, police said.

Authorities said an unknown man had entered the bank and passed a note to the teller that demanded money and implied that he had a gun. The robber pulled out the gun, before he ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the police report.

Officers and a police K-9 searched for the robber, but they did not find him on Tuesday.
