Armed Robbery In Manassas Area Prompts Police Presence

MANASSAS, VA — An armed robbery was reported in the Manassas area of Prince William County Wednesday morning, according to police.

The robbery happened in the 7700 block of Stream Walk Lane, which is in the commercial corridor just south of Interstate 66. Police say the suspect showed a weapon, took the victim's money and fled on foot. There were no reported injuries.

Police did not immediately provide a suspect description. An extended police presence is expected to investigate the robbery. Residents were asked to report suspicious activity to Prince William County police at 703-792-6500.
