Arrest Made In June Armed Abduction, Robbery In Manassas

One of two men who robbed three people at gunpoint in June after ordering them to the ground was arrested Saturday: PWC Police.

MANASSAS, VA — One of two men who robbed three people at gunpoint in early June after ordering them to the ground inside their residence was arrested Saturday, according to Prince William County Police. He already was in jail for unrelated offenses. Jonathan Lee Thornton, 33, of the 800 block of Kingsbrook Road in Culpeper, was charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, three counts of abduction, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony and one count of burglary. The identity of the other suspect remains unknown.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on June 7, police responded to the 7400 blockk of Pinehurst Lane for a reported armed burglary. A 31-year-old Manassas man told police he was outside the residence when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men flashed a gun and ordered the man into his residence.

Once inside, they found two other residents — a female, 29, and a man, 38, both of Manassas. All three were ordered to the ground, after which they were robbed of their cell phones, money and clothing. The suspects then left the home and fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
