'Arts Alive!' Festival Sept. 17 In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — Performing artists will take center stage — rather, four center stages, as it were — 1-5 p.m. Sept. 17 for "Arts Alive! 2017" at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle. Put on by both the center and the Prince William County Arts Council, it's a free art festival featuring artists and ensembles from the Prince William County and surrounding areas.

According to a release, the festival (held rain or shine) will include more than 25 indoor and outdoor performances on the following stages: Merchant Hall (inside), Gregory Family Theater (inside), Patio (outside) and Tent (outside). On hand will be food vendors as well as craft vendors. It'll have hands-on arts-related activities for both kids and adults. Visual arts will be displayed in the Didlake Grand Foyer. Local artisans will sell wares, including jewelry, pottery, quilts and photography. Local authors will have books for sale.
