Attempted Caustic Spray Assault Reported In Convenience Store Parking Lot

Police say a stranger approached a man, argued with him and attempted to spray him with an irritant.

MANASSAS, VA – Prince William County police are looking for a man accused of attempting to attack another man with a caustic substance.

According to Prince William County police, the assault occurred on Sunday at the 7-Eleven at 8375 Sudley Rd. when a 40-year-old man sitting in his parked vehicle with a family member was approached by an unknown man. The men got into an argument, and the suspect attempted to spray the man in the car with some kind of chemical irritant before leaving on foot.

No injuries were reported, police say.

The suspect is described as a bald Hispanic man in his 30s wearing a black hat, a black T-shirt with multi-colored writing and light-colored cargo shorts.
