Attempted Murder Charges For Vengeful Man In Haymarket: Police
A man was arrested on attempted murder charges after driving to a residence to confront two men he believed had assaulted a female friend.

HAYMARKET, VA — A man was arrested on attempted murder charges Tuesday after apparently driving to a residence in the 15600 block of Crestview Lane and planning to use a gun to confront two men who allegedly sexually assaulted a female acquaintance of his, according to Prince William County Police.
Alec Michael Shrauder, 21, of the 5800 block of Chittenden Drive in Warrenton, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He's being held without bond.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., police received a tip that Shrauder might be driving to the residence to confront a couple of men about a sexual alleged to have happened sometime between July 7-9. Officers responded to the residence, and used a helicopter and a K-9 unit to scour the area. Schrauder ultimately was found, as was a gun recovered nearby.
