When and how did the business get started?

I have been baking for family and friends for 30 years. I began baking independently at age 9 at the side of my mother who ran a homebased baking business in Northern VA. She baked for many in the area for over 40 yrs until she retired. Friends and family have been encouraging me for years to do something with my baking and I finally listened. :)

Custom cakes, custom sugar cookies, holiday themed sugar cookie kits, large batch cookies, and macarons

Custom cakes, sugar cookies kits, and custom sugar cookies.

What's your favorite thing about the community your business is located in?

The support for small business.

What kind of impact has the COVID-19 pandemic had on business?

I actually opened in August 2020, so during the pandemic. The biggest impact is how I need to interact with customers. We have a high risk child in the house who is currently too young for any available vaccine. At present advice we still mask and limit interactions. So when handling pick-ups we fully mask.

Do you have any favorite memories at the business over the years?

My first official order and that first 5 star review.
