BB&T Bank Robbed In Manassas On Tuesday: Police

Authorities in the City of Manassas are investigating a bank robbery that was reported on Tuesday afternoon at the BB&T Bank on Dumfries Rd.

MANASSAS, VA — An unknown person robbed the BB&T Bank on Dumfries Road in Manassas on Tuesday, the Manassas City Police Department said. Authorities are still investigating and have yet to identify a suspect.

The police department said the robbery occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the BB&T Bank at 10040 Dumfries Road.

"The reporting party advised that the suspect demanded money, implied a weapon, but no weapon was displayed," the police department said in their report. "After retrieving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot."

The police department did not provide any suspect description in their initial report. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with more information to call the Manassas City Police Department.
