Bernie Sanders to Hold Manassas Rally Monday

Sen. Bernie Sanders, a candidate in the Democratic Party’s presidential primary, will be holding a rally at the Prince William County Fairgrounds next week.

Sanders has been drawing thousands of supporters at rallies across the country as his poll numbers continue to climb against primary frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

The candidate will give the convocation at Liberty University on Monday morning, and then travel to Manassas for the rally.

The local event will be at 8 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 10624 Dumfries Road.

Gates open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.

Members of the public are encouraged to carpool and take into consideration heavy traffic in the area when making their plans.

General Public Parking: Fair Grounds Parking Gate B on American Legion Drive off Dumfries Road, or Gate D on Godwin Drive. Parking is available starting at 5 p.m.
