MANASSAS, VA — There aren't many days left in October, but there is still some time to get the best pumpkin available at local pumpkin patches.

Many Manassas families enjoy an annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Fields often have free activities such as corn mazes, hayrides and apple cider tastings.

Visiting an outdoor pumpkin farm is moderately safe, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Before you go, it’s best to call ahead to the field or check its website for guidelines and hours of operation.
