Birmingham Green, a senior facility in Manassas, is hosting a drive-thru Father's Day Family Parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

MANASSAS, VA — Birmingham Green, a senior facility in Manassas, is hosting a drive-thru Father's Day Family Parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday as a way to show love to the fathers who live at the facility. Residents' families, as well as members of the Manassas community, are invited to participate.

Participants in the parade are asked to decorate their vehicles and signs before they arrive. Vehicles should enter the parade route at 8605 Centreville Road in Manassas and follow signs directing the one-way flow of parade traffic throughout campus. In case of inclement weather this weekend, the event will be held the following Saturday at the same time and location.

Due to the coronavirus crisis, visitation is still restricted at Birmingham Green. But Birmingham Green CEO Denise Chadwick Wright said in a statement that the restrictions don't mean there can't still be some physically distanced creativity to celebrate Father's Day.
