Locally-Based Bob & Edith's Diner Opens New Location In Manassas

The family-owned Bob & Edith's Diner opened a new Manassas location and has plans to introduce 24/7 service later.

MANASSAS, VA — Bob and Edith's Diner, a locally-founded diner, is opening its newest location in Manassas Wednesday.

The location opened at 6 a.m. Wednesday at 9221 Sudley Rd. in Manassas. The diner will initially be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, but it will introduce 24/7 service at a later time. Customers can stay up to date on hours on the Bob and Edith's social media pages.

The family-owned diner was first opened in 1969. Founding owners Robert (Bob) Bolton and his wife, Edith, bought "Gary's Donut Dinette" in Arlington and turned it into a diner. The diner started with a 10-stool counter and expanded in 1982 and 1987. The diner's current layout has remained unchanged since 1987.

In more than 50 years, the Boltons with their children Mike, Pinky, Nancy, and Greg have continued to keep the brand under family ownership opened six more locations. After their son Pinky died in 1995, Greg and his wife, Victoria, became the sole owners of Bob and Edith's. Along with the flagship location on Columbia Pike in Arlington, Bob and Edith's has locations in North Arlington, Crystal City, Old Town Alexandria, Huntington and Springfield. In November 2023, the business had celebrated 54 years of service to Arlington and the region.

Bob and Edith's services an all-day breakfast menu with eggs platters, omelets, hot cakes, waffles and French toast. Lunch and dinner options include sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers, subs and more.
