My Story About Chamber Membership. My name is Susan Jacobs and I have been a member of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce for 20+ years. I joined the Chamber when I got licensed as a real estate agent, not really knowing why I joined. Now 20+ years later I can say it was the best thing I could have done to build my real estate business in so many ways.
Being in sales is a contact sport. People do business with people they know, like and trust.
Here are just a few ways the Chamber has helped me.

• I meet so many people that I would never have meet in various business fields.
• I have access to good trades people, i.e. plumbers, electricians, handyman.
• I have built business relationship as well as personal relationships.

• I have access to business resources that effect my business.
• It gives me access to our state & local elected officials on personal bases.
• It shows that I support my community. According to Schaprio Group study, consumers associate Chamber membership with reliability and are 63% more likely to buy from a Chamber member.
My daughter, Monica DiPaolo & Tranquility Spa & Day Salon is an example of Chamber involvement. I meet Wayne & Gloria Harding owners of Tranquility Spa & Day Salon at a Chamber 101 meeting. After the meeting I introduced myself and told them I had a daughter graduating from Graham Webb hair academy. Based on the reputation that Graham Webb has for training stylist, Gloria immediately said “I want to hire her.” With in the weeks to follow Monica & Gloria got together. Now 13 years later Monica is one of the top stylists at Tranquility Spa & Day Salon.
