Pianist Jeffrey Siegel brings an evening with Chopin to the Hylton Center

Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel brings "The Greatness of Chopin" to the Hylton Performing Arts Center on Feb. 1 at 8PM

Ever wonder what was the story behind the composition? Join renowned pianist Jeffrey Siegel for his acclaimed Keyboard Conversations® series at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Titled “The Greatness of Chopin,” the performance will take place on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at 8 p.m. Siegel promises to give audience members of all ages witty insight into the life and work of this great composer as he performs a selection of works by Frédéric Chopin, including his heroic Polonaises, dreamy Nocturnes and dynamic Scherzos.

Siegel created Keyboard Conversations® more than 40 years ago to help audiences gain a richer understanding and appreciation for piano and classical music. Since then, he has gained a following among both classical music enthusiasts and newcomers around the world. His talent has resulted in invitations to appear as a soloist with some of the world’s greatest orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, Moscow State Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are $22, $30 and $38. This performance is Family Friendly: youth through grade 12 can obtain half price tickets when accompanied by an adult. Additionally, a pre-performance discussion, free to ticket holders, begins 45 minutes prior to the performance in the Hylton Center’s Buchanan Partners Art Gallery.
