Brightworks Brewery Plans Grand Opening Amidst Independence Day In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — Brightworks Brewery is giving new life to a former brewery space in Manassas and is planning grand opening festivities in the midst of Independence Day.

Brightworks Brewery, a veteran and woman-owned business run by husband and wife duo, Kenny and Adrienne Lewis, will have a grand opening on Thursday, July 4 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The brewery is located at 9776 Center Street in Manassas, formerly home to Prince William County's first brewery BadWolf Brewing.

The grand opening will be held as visitors flock to Manassas for its July 4 festivities. The business had a soft opening earlier in June. A ribbon cutting will be scheduled for 3 p.m. on Aug. 9, according to the City of Manassas.

According to the Brightworks Brewery website, the brewery focuses on making small batches of beers. It has a taproom serving its beers as well as non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. Games and activities for all ages are provided, and there are video games and a play area to entertain children. There is outdoor seating and a grassy area as well.

Brightworks Brewery has limited hours from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays to Sundays. Starting with the July 4 grand opening, regular hours will begin — 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Fridays, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.

At the grand opening, the brewery will add three new beers to its current menu — Margarita Melt Gose, 47 Falcon American Porter, and Oma's Oatmeal Cookies Brown Ale. Other beers include People's Champ Czech-Style Lager, Cabana Boy Pineapple Weiss, Adrienne's Raspberry Wheat and Golden Twins Hazy IPA.
