Buckland Mills Elementary Evacuated Friday After Phone Threat

Students and staff were back in the school by 2:45 p.m. following a thorough search by police.

Update: Buckland Mills Elementary School students and staff are safe and have re-entered the school after being evacuated as the result of a bomb threat. They were given the all clear following a thorough search of the building by police. All normal activities will commence and a regular dismissal is expected.

Buckland Mills Elementary School in Gainesville has been evacuated due to an unconfirmed telephone threat, according to Prince William County Schools.

All are safely evacuated. The district asks that you do not interfere with safety precautions by calling or visiting school.

Police have made a preliminary check and did not find anything of concern. K-9 units will be used to before giving the all clear.
