Bull Run Unitarian Universalist to Host Bluegrass Concert
The internationally known group will play starting at 7 p.m., Dec. 12

As you give thanks and honor the United States’ history this weekend, consider joining a local Manassas church for a concert that also stems from U.S. roots.
The Bull Run Unitarian Universalist congregation, 9350 Main St. in Old Town Manassas, will host bluegrass band, Nothin’ Fancy Friday, Dec. 12. The concert will start at 7 p.m., doors will open at 6 p.m.
Immigrants brought bluegrass music to America in the early 1600s, according to the International Bluegrass Music Association. The style is an amalgamation of dance music and ballads from Ireland, Scotland and England, as well as African American gospel music and blues.

Nothin’ Fancy formed in 1994.They’ve won “Entertainers of the Year” from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association five times and perform in festivals across the U.S., Canada and Norway.
Concert tickets cost $20 and can be purchased online or through mail order.
