Burger 21 Chain Looking For Manassas Expansion

Restaurant hoping to find franchisee for area after Ashburn success.

“Fast-casual chain” Burger 21 is looking to expand in the Greater Washington, D.C., area, with its sites set on a handful of target cities in Maryland and Virginia, including Manassas and Gainesville.

The company has an existing franchise in Ashburn, but will be shopping for more partners in the region at the Capital Franchise Expo, Nov. 1-2 at the Dulles Expo Center.

“The Greater Washington D.C. area continues to be a prime target for Burger 21’s future growth and development,” said Mark Johnston, president of Burger 21. “We’re proud of the success of our first Virginia restaurant in Ashburn and look forward to discussing the value of the investment with local entrepreneurs and sharing with them what separates Burger 21 from the competition.”
