Business Owner Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Child: Police

Prince William County police arrested the owner of a Manassas business, who is accused of sexually assaulting a child multiple times.

MANASSAS, VA — A Manassas business owner was arrested Tuesday for sexually assaulting a child more than once at his business, Prince William County police say. Jose Luis Ortiz, 71, owner of Jlo Appliances, is accused of sexually assaulting a child between the ages of 9 and 12.

According to police, the victim recently reported the assaults to police. Upon investigation, police learned the victim was sexually assaulted more than once between May 2016 and February 2019 while at Ortiz's business.

Ortiz, a resident of Sterling, was arrested on three charges of aggravated sexual battery. He currently is being held without bond.
