Car Strikes Trooper's Cruiser on Interstate 66
The trooper was standing outside of the car when his vehicle was hit. No serious injuries were reported.

A law enforcement vehicle was struck in a car crash on Interstate 66 Tuesday morning.
The State Highway Patrol trooper was standing on the shoulder of the highway with a motorist when a Honda Civic failed to stop in time for slowing traffic, according to Virginia State Police.
The car braked suddenly, spinning around to the right and slamming into the unmarked cruiser, which was parked on the side of the roadway with the lights flashing.

The driver of the Honda, Fegling Hu, 42, of Centreville, suffered minor injuries. She was charged with reckless driving.
The trooper was not injured.

“Motorists are reminded to remain alert at all times, especially when traveling in rain or slick road conditions,” according to highway patrol spokesperson Corinne Geller.
Virginia’s ”Move Over” law also requires drivers to either move over a lane or to pass cautiously around all emergency vehicles stopped on the side of the road.
