Celebrate Summer Solstice In Manassas With These Events

The longest day of the year will feature special events encouraging Manassas residents to get out and enjoy activities.

MANASSAS, VA — We’ve been enjoying summertime events in Manassas since before the start of meteorological summer on June 1, but the season officially gets underway Thursday, June 20, with the summer solstice.

The City of Manassas Parks, Culture and Recreation will celebrate its second annual Parks Day on Thursday. Attendees can pick up a Play All Day passport and get it stamped at each location to get a free ice cream at Winterset Park.
