Chesterbrook Academy in Gainesville Celebrates 20th Anniversary

To celebrate the milestone, Chesterbrook Academy Preschool held a ribbon cutting, and Pre-K students performed a song

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Gainesville recently held a ribbon cutting to commemorate its 20th anniversary. In attendance at the ceremony were Chesterbrook Academy Preschool staff, students and parents, as well as representatives from the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce. During the event, remarks were provided by Principal Jessica Powell, and Pre-K students performed a song. The event also featured refreshments for guests to enjoy.

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool has served the families of Gainesville since 2000. Its Links to Learning curriculum prepares children for kindergarten and beyond, through a preschool-specific curriculum complete with monthly developmental skill summaries that closely involve parents. The goals of the program are to provide a high-caliber, developmentally appropriate education within the classroom, to enhance dialogue with parents, and to provide constructive guidance on how parents can become more involved with their children’s education through at-home activities that reinforce what’s being learned at school.
