City Of Manassas To Host National Night Out Aug. 6

The City of Manassas will host a special event in recognition of National Night Out Aug. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. on the lawn of the city museum.

MANASSAS, VA — National Night Out is America's chance to gather together and take a stand against crime where emergency responders, neighbors, community leaders and others stand in a show of solidarity in their fight. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas celebrates on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and more.

National Night Out will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 in Manassas, the seventh annual citywide event. It will be held on the city museum lawn with demonstrations and displays by first responders, a child ID kit workshop, food, games and activities for all ages.
