A Claus for Celebration: New Holiday Exhibit at Manassas Museum

A collection of Santa Claus figurines will be on display from Dec. 5 until Jan. 4

While you’re putting up the Christmas tree, the Manassas Museum will be decorating for Christmas, too. The museum’s newest exhibit, “Christmas – a Claus for Celebration,” features what the City of Manassas calls “an extensive and unusual collection of Santa Claus figurines.”

The new exhibit will run from Friday, Dec. 5 until Jan. 4. The museum will host its annual open house on the night the Santa Claus exhibit debuts, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Museum admission will be free that night and visitors can enjoy cookies, cider and a 10 percent discount at Echoes, the museum store.

On Saturday, Dec. 6 Liberia Plantation will be open for tours every hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The house will be decorated in 1860’s Christmas style and feature seasonal music, living history and refreshments.
